All about La Pasta di Mamma

The Beginning

The idea of starting my own business making fresh organic pasta came to my mind when I started to wean my little boy (june 2006): the range of baby organic food available was all right but very limited! So I started to make for Pietro (my little boy) a type of fresh pasta very much suitable for babies, with organic ingredients and a high protein content pasta (= lots of eggs). And then, one day, I though "well, why not to try to make something out of my passion for making pasta?" So I invited the NCT group (mothers and toddlers group who I was meeting every week) in my house to try some of my pasta. You know, your palate can get used to your way of cooking, so I wanted to be sure my pasta tasted as nice to other’s mouths as to mine! And everyone was really very complimentary and got very excited about it (even the older children who were there). So that how my idea started to take shape...
